Sculptures Made Of Pencils

Posted: 05 Mar 2011 11:36 AM PST

I would never imagine sculptures made of pencils but here they are! The most unusual sculptures I've ever seen! Artist Jennifer Maestre makes these unreal accessories of usual pencils. She saws off parts of the pencils, makes holes in them and sews them together. The pencils are colored already so she doesn't need to paint them. The sculptures arise different emotions in us but, first of all, it's excitement. They remind of some plants, animals or flowers from some other planet – kind of a centipede or turtle. Such an accessory would look great in a study, library or in some public place. Would you buy one?

A Christmas Clock

Posted: 05 Mar 2011 09:36 AM PST

That's a pity that Christmas has passed already. But we can always remind ourselves of this wonderful event. Do you remember Santa's deer with red noses? I'm sure you do. Designer Ben Klinger has taken the idea of a deer and introduced the clock. The clock is called Rudolf, it strongly reminds me of a reindeer and the red nose is here, too. The clock is made of natural wood. The good thing is that you can use this clock all year round and it will remind you of having a good time during Christmas.

Modern House In Austria With Natural Surroundings Included In The Rooms

Posted: 05 Mar 2011 05:39 AM PST

Casa 3S is located in Austria. One of the main ideas was to include the natural surroundings in the rooms of the house that's why design washes away the frames between the house and the garden creating the light crossings and a big open plan of the house under a flat roof. The form of the roof is made so to build a terrace which looks very unique. The interior is made in modern and minimalist style; the walls are painted in light colors, mostly wide to make the space visually bigger. The rooms are not really separated to achieve the same goal. The materials are mostly natural and eco friendly. The house looks very modern and comfortable.
