Curved Modular Hallway Furniture Set – Elli by Jannis Ellenberger Posted: 11 Sep 2010 12:28 PM PDT Do you remember an unusual washstand designed Jannis Ellenberger we already wrote about. Elli is a hallway furniture set that also done by her. It isn’t as unusual as the washstand but it’s quite different from other hallway furniture. The main difference is in curvy shaped surfaces that it features. Other than that it is modular, features a bench, a shoe rack, a lacquered cabinet and a back panel. This plywood back panel also provide slots for hooks and shelves.

The wood bench combined with a planter and the Tutoring planter combined with a lamp are some of those multipurpose objects. The Tutoring by RAAV is an awesome solution for growing plant in urban environments. It saves space and provides a plant with light used by it to grow. Besides it illuminates the plant and could be used as a mood lighting. The disk with a light bulb could be moved up and down depending on the plant’s size. Tutoring might become an really awesome solution for those people who lives in apartments and like plants.

Sustainable House with Large Expanses Of Glass – Flyway View House by Jon Anderson Posted: 11 Sep 2010 06:12 AM PDT The Flyway View House is designed by Jon Anderson Architecture and located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The design’s concept was to maximize views of the bird habitat and to take advantage of solar exposure and passive ventilation. Simple sustainable materials and the thoughtful use of glass blends the indoor and outdoor living spaces. Overhangs protect living areas from the summer heat but exploit the sun for passive heat gain during winters. All exterior walls are done in concrete blocks. The roof deck is made of steel. The large glass areas are built from storefront components with a black anodized finish.
