This modern Possum Kingdom Lake home by interior designer Tracy Hardenburg is filled with light, welcoming and refreshing. Expressing the owner’s personalities through the interiors she creates, Tracy discovered the potential of this Possum Kingdom Lake home and worked to make the family’s dream come true. Photographed by Pär Bengtsson, the home imagined by an interior design with more than twenty years of residential experience is welcoming and vibrant.

Rich wooden textures were combined with a soft color palette in the main living spaces, enhancing the feeling of spaciousness. Wooden beams define a vaulted ceiling adorned with a sleek contemporary chandelier. Bold design lines meet dark and light colors to create a sophisticated ambiance. This custom designed family retreat envisioned by Residential Attitudes and located in Bicton, Australia, makes the most of its setting, capitalizing on views while accomplishing that vital merge of flair and functionality. While the street facade has been crafted to offer a high degree of privacy, the opposite side of the house features full height windows with expansive views towards the central zen courtyard and the beautiful Swan River beyond. Stone, wood and glass make for an original exterior, one that inspires comfortable modern living and an overall welcoming feel.

Here are just some of the features of this residence, as listed by the architects: “A large balcony with alfresco kitchen is accessed via bi-fold doors. Double doors lead off the living room into a cozy home theater, while to the front of the home is the luxurious master suite and beautifully appointed hotel style ensuite, both boasting direct access to a private balcony. A beautifully appointed kitchen includes stone waterfall edge island bench and white gloss soft closing cabinetry and glass splashback”. Split-Level Hong Kong House Centered Around a Red Ferrari

Fact: most Ferrari owners are crazy about their vehicle, but few dare to place it on display inside their home. When the owner of this residence in Sai Kung, Hong Kong, came up with the idea to transform his car into a precious indoor decorating element, Millimeter Interior Design rose up to the challenge. This architecture project consisted of an entire house remodel, the result being a split level residence boasting remarkable modern interiors and amenities. The red Ferrari overlooking the living room and kitchen gives away the feeling of an extravagant collector’s home, just like a significant victory trophy would.

According to Pursuitist, apart from using the owner's Ferrari as the center piece of the decor, this unconventional crib also boasts other impressive contemporary arrangements, such as the elevated dining table and a low-level kitchen. The 4,500 square-foot Hong Kong house features extensive use of glass and steel, seemingly connecting its three levels. Despite an overall narrow silhouette, everything seems to have its special place and harmony is released throughout- at least the type of harmony a high-tech enthusiast would crave for.
