| Classy Loft Design with Modern Appeal Inspired by the Owner’s Acting Career Posted: 02 Jul 2014 01:23 AM PDT Carefully choosing materials, colors and textures that surround you in your home can change your life choices, your day-to-day lifestyle and your mood. Brazilian architect and interior designer Diego Revollo turned a 70 square meter apartment into a fascinatingly modern place to live by imposing a classy loft design in all spaces. Vila Leopoldina Loft - as the apartment is known now – is home to an actor who got more than he bargained for. Welcoming and classy, the home was designed with fresh materials and adorned with carefully chosen furniture and furnishings. The living space features Frank Gehry’s sculptural cardboard Wiggle Side Chair, breaking the monotony of straight lines with its undulating shape. Vila Leopoldina Loft showcases an eye-catching mix of cement walls, ceiling and floors enhanced by the existence of purple, burgundy and yellow throughout the modern living spaces. Diego Revollo used the open floor-plan to create a contemporary design where the unusual kitchen wraps around a compact closed office space only to shape a dining room table. Curtains provide privacy as well as an open space, being the perfect choice for this type of loft. Even the bedroom and open bathroom are separated from the rest of the living spaces by only a curtain, making the space feel like a modern theater scene, where an actor would be right at home.

| Employing Striking Details to Shape A Creative Office Space Design Posted: 01 Jul 2014 01:31 PM PDT Once a candle factory, this 20th century building on Erne Street in Dublin was chosen by Irish live communication agency VERVE as their new office space. And what an office space it is! Adorned with a vintage 1973 Citroen DS that acts as a compact meeting room for four, this office space cannot pass unobserved, cannot function without admiration. Photos taken by Donal Murphy show us the extensive use of creativity throughout: from the “We are live” motto sign brightly hanging on the curved staircase wall, right over the reception area to the graffiti wall spicing up the offices, every element was carefully chosen to enhance the brand’s recognition and elevate the overall creativity level. A cut-out tree in the middle of the reception area invites guests to take a seat on the blue sofa and imagine working here, in this creativity-stricken space. Encouraging creativity and collaboration via the amazing details, this working space fills up the gap when employees find themselves in a creativity stump. Upstairs, the glass boardroom was accentuated by a collection of colorful stripes that support a “Live and Plugged In” sign. Two and a half years were necessary for the team to find the perfect spot for their new headquarters, but now this former candle factory-turned contemporary art gallery in the 90s is a bright and cheery working environment looking on to the future while showcasing an inspiring and creative office space design.
