Located in Mui Ne, a seaside holiday destination in Vietnam's south east coast, Oceanique Villas by MM++ Architects is a daring residential project. According to the developers, the construction is composed of three units, two three-bedrooms villas and one four-bedroom residence, each with a private swimming pool. Facing various challenges, the building was raised almost two meters from the beach level in order to keep a good privacy from the neighboring public beach, maximize sea view and prevent site erosion.
The layout for each villa was carefully planned and all interiors offers spectacular sea views: “On the ground floor the kitchen, dining and living room are merged in one single space mono-oriented to the beach front while the back has been designed with a patio open to the sky to bring sunlight and natural ventilation. Master bedrooms are open to the infinity swimming pool and by extension to the sea. In the back, each bathroom has a private garden with Jacuzzi, bringing light, ventilation and strong outdoor/indoor connection.
On the first floor, all bedrooms have a large ocean view with floor to ceiling windows recessed in the concrete structure providing enough shade”. This country house designed by Berkshire-based Alexander James Interiors and offering views towards the picturesque Winter Hill in England is impressive to say the least. The five-bedroom residence is accessed via a private courtyard, with a perfectly manicured lawn. The imposing facade of St John's House makes one wonder what this elegant home reveals on the inside. A large number of windows and a beautiful terrace on the second level connect the interiors with the fresh landscape outdoors, providing a perfect holiday-inspiring setting for the inhabitants.
The virtual tour of the residence begins with a grand entrance hall on the first level, which ensures access to a vast open-plan living space, where the kitchen, family room and an orangery are located. According to the official description of the designer, “this expansive area looks out towards to the south-facing garden which features manicured lawns and established foliage, beautifully designed and planted by Millgate Homes' Chelsea award-winning landscaper, as well as an outdoor dining and seating area”. The first floor houses most of the bedrooms, all with an en suite, while the second floor accommodates another bedroom and a bonus interior which can be used as a home cinema or a game room.
