DOCK IT station is a modular relaxation system designed by AMOSDESIGN for public areas, shopping galleries or large halls. The system offers not only various seating modifications but it is also a place nowadays extremely sought-after since its advantage is the possibility of recharging tablets or mobile phones as well as the Wi-Fi connection. With a growing need for constant connectivity, we believe we will see more and more public dock stations, which is why we decided to feature this post on Freshome and see what you guys think of this upcoming trend.

The system invites you to a stopover, quick relaxation, and communication. It offers great variability of both dimensions and colours. You may combine the individual elements into compositions or you may be leave them placed freely. According to the requirements, the system elements may be shortened or prolonged. Swarms of large fish or submarines as objects flown around with water have been the inspiration of this design. The objects are placed into the flow of moving visitors of the given premises. Material used is Corian®, upholstered elements / fins are equipped with electric sockets. DOCK IT may be adapted to any interior by the choice of colours, sizes, and compositions. Conveying a carefully structured mixture of wood and concrete into an inviting Australian beach home, the design team behind this project wonderfully collaborated to compose the perfect background for a fulfilling family life by the beach. Architect Paul Jones imagined the imposing beach house in Western Australia as a fascinating collection of lofty living space. Precision in building can be seen in builder Zorzi South‘s work, whereas the details of each space were put into play by interior designer by Nina Dempster of Ozbyrd Design. The fabulous Eagle Bay Residence is a contemporary masterpiece overlooking the Indian ocean and mirroring its elegance, boldness and inspirational force.

Wood was used to define the warmth showcased both inside and out. Vertical pacific teak cladding was used on the facade, while painted white cedar lines the walls and ceilings inside. Recycled tallow-wood floorboards lay at the owner’s feet and solid cedar cabinets punctuate the rooms. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow for the garden to visually become part of the design and flood the warm and elegant rooms with natural light. A custom lift, carefully chosen furniture for each space, detailed modern features like a polished plaster fireplace or the outdoor alfresco balcony in teak, these all make you dig deeper into details. Despite the fascinating modern amenities (including a coolroom), the casual beach home feel lingers in every room.

Striking Three Bedroom Duplex Exuding a Vivid Personality in London

Suna Interior Design revealed photos and information regarding a three bedroom duplex apartment completed for The Filaments, a brand new residential development at the heart of a London borough. The brief of this project was to include original works of art. To this end the living room is furnished with a leather Paulistano chair, a Map Dress Artwork by Jennifer Collier and one of Jayoon Choi's Jealous Gallery. An eclectic combination comprising warm tones of copper coupled with captivating Skandi wallpaper. The warmth of the room is captured further by the use of lux, velvety scatter cushions by House of Hackney on the bespoke sofa, the vivacious orange of the ornate mirror on the opposite wall and of course the bespoke double-sided fireplace that stylishly warms both the living and dining rooms.
Interior designer and co-director Rebecca Tucker stated: "This was an ideal project for Suna Interior Design. We worked on the specification as well as the interior design which is quite moody and masculine with rich tones of gloss black kitchen cabinetry, walnut flooring and a marble splash-back in the elegant kitchen. We then took this design to the next level by adding tones of leather and copper." Located in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico, this contemporary family home photographed by Mito Covarubias hides its true open nature from prying eyes. Part of Hernandez Silva Arquitectos‘ portfolio and known as Casa Jacarandas, the imposing structure flaunts a tall vertical window on the closed facade, but the green wall and glass staircase cage behind the parking space seem to hint towards the existence of a splendid open living space. Stone stairs welcomes guests to the open and bright residence, although they don’t know how surprising the interiors are.

Opening fully towards the backyard, all social and private spaces have a connection to the outdoors. Here, curved stone walls adorning a small pond invite owners to get lost in their daydreams. In the evening, the house lights up beautifully and the accent falls on the green plants present throughout. Wooden slats filter sunlight both in the front garden and the back courtyard. A disciplined balance between concrete, wood and greenery composes a visually appealing exterior design. Spreading over 905 square meters, the transparent modern home brings relaxation through a permanent connection between the elegant interiors and the inspiring outdoors.
