Casamoro Condominiums by G.Lab*

G.Lab*, a department of Gansam Partners, designed the Casamoro Condominiums in Hongcheon, South Korea.

Casamoro Condominiums are set on the northern bank of the Han River, there are three units, with views of the river and more specifically, each unit corresponds to a specific terrain feature on the opposite bank. Parking space in on the second level and immediately offers a pleasant view of the river. The condominium units are then elevated above, allowing for added privacy and enhanced views.

The floating units reveal a communal café space below with access to the waterfront. The orientation of the individual units and elevated presence provides secure privacy for personal and intimate leisure. A country sanctuary for those who wish for a peaceful meditative escape from the city, nestled with in residential suburb, the Casamoro condominiums offers unparallel views and modern texture.

Shoesme Shop Interior by Teun Fleskens

Dutch designer Teun Fleskens designed the interior for this Shoesme shop.

Description from the designer:

The purpose of the concept is creating a totally flexible interior that consists of basic elements, the dice. The dice have more than one function. For example, 1 die is at seating height, 2 dice together creates table height and three dice provides a standard bar height. When Shoesme participates at a fair, the dice are being used to build up their stands. After this event, the stands are literally given away, therefore creating a double function as a promotion tool.

Parallel Park for VIVA Vancouver

As an experiment in urban placemaking, the city of Vancouver, Canada have been transforming street spaces into people places in various areas around the city. The VIVA Vancouver program seeks to demonstrate new, interesting and fun uses for public space. This week, Parallel Park, a deck-like seating structure that extends the use of the sidewalk and takes up two parking spots, was completed on a street in east Vancouver next to a JJBean coffee shop.
