These stairs are designed by Atmos studio for one of their residential projects. The staircase was entirely digitally fabricated using an intricate set of simply-cut but highly-detailed flat-pack elements, CNC-carving sheets of MDF and oak directly from our drawings, engraving depths to further split structural strands into ever-finer lineaments, producing elements that perfectly slot together like an architectural jigsaw. It recreates the structural flow of the living spaces, incorporating the pattern of the house’s skirting board into its form. The staircase appears to be constantly changing as one travels through it.

Brilliant-Shaped Colorful Transparent Chair

Random8 chair is shaped like a brilliant cut diamond. It’s transparent so the light passes it through. Thanks to the dichroic treatment of the Plexiglas, the chair literally creates its own lighting effects. It shines in every color of the rainbow and changes its colors depending on the ambient light and on the viewing angle. Thanks to the reflecting properties of the material the chair also reflects colorful shapes on the surrounding walls and floor. As indoors as outdoors it can become an exceptional eye-catching element. Random8 is designed by David Lesort and Arnaud Giroud of Pitaya Design and produced in a limited edition of 12 by Gallery Gosserez.

Two Level Apartment With A Steel Slide

This apartment is two identical one-bedroom units, one atop the other, combined into a duplex home. The most unusual thing about this combination is a half-tube stainless steel slide that connects two levels of the apartment. It starts on the top floor near the office, and lands below near both the living and dining areas. This slide is surrounded by custom designed glass railings and floor-to-ceiling windows with views of New York. This duplex penthouse is a perfect 2,400 square feet place for work, play and living. It’s designed by Turett Collaborative Architects.
