Posted: 28 Feb 2011 12:28 PM PST Silk was brought from China and it was so expensive that only some people could afford clothes made of silk. Today the prices are not so high and designers took silk to produce various things, for example, a chair. Alvi Design presented the Silkchair. The chair is made of FSC-certified oak with a back and seat created using silk thread strung through the frame. The chair looks like a harp and creates the effect of weightlessness. The design is very simple and genial, it will easily hold a person and the threads won't deflect as they are made of silk. By the way, it's eco-friendly as the materials used for production are natural. Would you like to sit on silk? Similar Posts: Continue reading about The Silk Chair... |
Surrealistic Furniture Made Of The Old One Posted: 28 Feb 2011 10:25 AM PST We all have some old furniture at home, some things that are stuck in our homes since the times of our grandmothers and grandfathers. Designers from the brand leftovers took old furniture that was thrown away and made a miracle! They used patchwork style and bright colors to create these pieces of furniture. In my opinion the most amazing piece is the chest of drawers in very bright colors. This furniture will look amazing in any art deco or surrealistic interior or even add something unexpectable to a classical interior. Which one would you buy?
