Natural Wood Flooring With Trapezoidal Shaped Planks – Medoc by Listone Giordano Posted: 23 Oct 2010 01:13 PM PDT Medoc is a wood flooring collection designed by Michele De Lucchi and Philippe Nigro for Listone Giordano. It has won several awards this year thanks to its high quality and innovativeness. The distinctive feature of the Medoc is the “trunk” outline which takes up the trapezoidal shape of old floorboards, as planks were not straightened in order to avoid any waste. Uneven saw cutting accentuates fascinating lighting effects and unexpected ancestral sensations. Thanks to plank’s shape the floor has a very architectural feel. It will add both visual and tactile texture to any interior. It is also a great example of how you can bring natural patina to your space and still keep it sleek and contemporary. It’s cozy, bright and cheerful. There aren’t many walls in it because that is the only way to make small space more spacious. Everything is painted in white because that is an another way to visually enlarge the space. Some gray and lime accents make the interior more livable and interesting. The apartment doesn’t feature a lot of furniture. Although all furniture that can be found there is very functional and lightweight. The kitchen features several storage drawers, all necessary appliances the bar area and three suspended lamps that separate the space. The bedroom is separated from the kitchen by a large screen covered with a vinyl plant motif. That allows the light penetration without losing privacy.
