Tiuku Standing Clock is designed by Ari Kanerva as a contemporary and minimalist version of a grandfather clock. It’s made of powder-coated steel and stands 75.75″ high. Such clock could become an elegant focal point of any room in your house. The best place for is an entrance hall but they definitely would look great leaned against the living room’s wall too. At the moment the clock is available only in black and white colors through Arango Design. The price is $295.

West Elm Holiday Decorating 2010

Starting from October 5th in West Elm stores you can find a new holiday decoration collection designed by David Stark. The collection consists of many stylish and sustainable items that could be used with your old items of holiday decor. Among the new items you can find different ornaments, various wreaths, mosaic mirror bottles, mini trees, tableware, newspaper print candle shades and many many others. The whole collection is quite chic and gives a lot of possibilities to create your perfect holiday decor. David even prepare a small presentation of the collection where he showed some nice decorating ideas. You can find it on West Elm’s website.

Thin Townhouse With Dark Exterior and Modern Interior

This 200 square meter townhouse on Schlegelstraße in Cologne is designed by German architects Jack Viola and Antonio Molina. It is very thin but deep. The house is wrapped in a gray covering and feature 22 feet deep rooms. Even though it is quite dark outside, the interior is light and airy thanks to white walls and ceilings, a lot of large windows and skylights. Even though there are black wood floors everywhere, they don’t dominate. There is also a very nice garden space behind the house with an awesome glass extension.
