TEEbooks, the Almost Invisible Bookcaseb Posted: 16 Sep 2010 04:15 AM PDT TEEbooks is an ingenious shelving system designed by Mauro Canfori and features a few different shelves complemented by small drawers and consoles. The fun thing about this uncommon furniture product is that when it is completely covered with books and CDs, it becomes invisible and it appears as if the stored items were free standing. The shapes that TEEbooks can take are various, from simple horizontal lines to more complicated forms. You can even design your own shape here. We think it would be interesting if someone turned this idea into a message written in books. This shelving system comes great no matter what interior it is placed in and you don’t have to worry about adapting its design to the room’s, because, well… it’s invisible.-via Stilsucht

Architecture Rings Featuring Paris, New York, Moscow and Archipolis Posted: 16 Sep 2010 02:23 AM PDT It is true that these rings may look a little odd at first, but if you change your perspective and give them a second glance, you will see that they are “architecture rings”, featuring some famous projects around the world. Paris, New York, Moscow, Archipolis village in Rhodes, and even a wooden cottage were reduced to “wearable” sizes and turned into jewelery. The ring designs come from Philipe Tournaire and were created by using gold, silver, amber, cognac, gemstones, platinum and diamonds. They are not very smooth, nor we imagine them to be light in weight, so we have to wonder if the potential customers are in large number. Would you wear such a ring? We dare you to discover the architecture landmarks in the photos below and let us know what you think.-via FreshBump Paris rings

Beautiful Chair for Adults and Fun Sofa for Kids Posted: 15 Sep 2010 11:50 AM PDT This interesting furniture item is called Mussel Chair and was designed by Hanne Kortegaard with a multiple functionality. As it name suggests, it can serve as a comfortable chair for adults. But in the same time, kids can make the most of it by using it as a small bed, a sofa and even a miniature playground. Mussel Chair comes with a comfortably shaped pillow that can be a really handy item to have around, when watching TV on the floor or when needing a feet rest. We like to think of this product as one that can intermediate parents-children relationships, as this could be a fun “gathering place” for a child and one of his parents carrying an emotional value for both of them. On top of all this, its design is impeccable and makes it ideal for a modern interior with a personality.-via DigsDigs

Beautiful Home in Brazil with Aesthetic Wooden Blinds Posted: 15 Sep 2010 10:09 AM PDT At a first glance, this home may look a little odd. Designed by Marcio Kogan and located in Sao Paulo, Brazil, project House 53 had to obey the neighborhood architecture laws. They state that a home should only have two floors and if a third level exists, it has to respect the lateral setbacks. This is why the residence below may seem to have a strange shape, but we have to say we’re fond of unusual architecture here so this was a positive factor. House 53 has an overall compact figure and looks like a giant enclosed box with a smaller glass and concrete structure above (the third floor). The large wooden shutters have an aesthetic function as well as a practical one. When they are closed, the “blinds” fit together and form a compact wooden panel which goes great with the rest of the exterior design. The interiors feature contemporary arrangements and inspiring furniture elements. Be sure to check out the house plans below for a better understanding.-via Arch daily

Enignum Canopy Bed for Royal Dreaming Posted: 15 Sep 2010 08:21 AM PDT Designed by Joseph Walsh for his “Formations” collection, this beautiful elegant Enignum Canopy Bed has the ability to turn a bedroom into a royal chamber. This bed look fascinating and its ethereal presence has the ability of instantly relaxing its user. The unusual curves and the wooden structure makes this design a part of nature. Sleeping in it will feel like a natural experience, but a glamorous one as well. Even though this furniture item requires a lot of space, its stylish shape and the royal atmosphere that it provides makes up for this minor setback. Suited for an “haute decor” with ostentatious arrangements, the Enignum Canopy Bed will surely draw the attention of anyone visiting the interior within which it is integrated. What does it inspire to you? – via HQ
