Casa Schierle, a Lovely Sustainable Home in Germany Posted: 10 Jun 2010 03:33 AM PDT Project “Casa Schierle” belongs to Matthias Benz Architecture & Design and is located in a picturesque village near Munich, Germany. We really like its architecture and interior design and couldn’t help noticing the beautiful indoor color palette, a subtle combination of white, green and wood elements. But there is more to this house than meets the eye. We also found out some interesting information regarding the project’s sustainable features. The developing of the building also included the use of recyclable materials and the inclusion of energy saving concepts. There are plans for solar panels and rainwater collectors in the future. Beautiful landscapes, amazing architecture and an energy sufficient home- an impressive association, wouldn’t you say? |
Beautiful Transparent Glass Coffee Table by Pierre Lescop Posted: 09 Jun 2010 03:37 PM PDT Coffee tables come in a wide variety of shapes, textures, quality, colors, and designs. There is a coffee table out there that could fit in just about every scenario for your home and in just about every single room. These tables are so practical and add so much to the décor and style of your room that it is almost a shame not to own one. A glass coffee table is one important piece in your house for it usually becomes a centerpiece in your living room. One of the most beautiful transparent glass coffee tables I’ve saw is the Tim & Mary by Pierre Lescop. Folded glass and painted beautifully (based on the Baroque theme), designer's tact of playing with the formal code has resulted into the beautiful coffee table for contemporary homes. – Via – Hometone |
Crazy or Cool? Entire House Made of Paper by Don Lucho Posted: 09 Jun 2010 12:09 PM PDT Artist Don Lucho created a fascinating project called Casa de Karton which we just had to present on Freshome. This is the type of idea that creates hype due to its originality and we just love to show you things that are unique. Don Lucho created an entire apartment using cardboard and paper. The results? A very real looking home, with all the elements you would naturally find in a decorated crib, including paintings, rugs, cups, spoons and even slippers. The only weird thing is that they are all hand-drawn. We have no idea just how steady this unconventional furniture is, but I for one would sure like to give it a try. The artist also added an interesting looking car wreck outside the paper apartment for some extra viewing fun. |
