Unusual Decorating Idea: Wall Staple Art Posted: 09 Jun 2010 08:24 AM PDT These amazing wall art scenes belong to artist Baptiste Debombourg who created them by putting together no less than 35000 staples. Inspired from mythology and Renaissance art, these unusual “paintings” meant a lot of time and effort. To be more exact, 75 hours of meticulous work. It takes a lot of patience and aesthetic sense to create these stunning patterns, but the end results are worth the struggle. This type of art projects could fit great on school walls or in other public buildings. In order to have one at home, you need a whole lot of space in order to have a general vision and not notice the staples. What do you think? Would you consider buying a huge home just for this? |
H House, a Hypnotizing Glass Residence in The Netherlands Posted: 09 Jun 2010 05:24 AM PDT “H House” comes from Wiel Arets Architects and is located in Maastricht, The Netherlands. We called it “hypnotizing” because we consider this to be one of those innovative architecture projects that keeps you analyzing it in depth. Moreover, this beautiful residence has a stunning glass exterior which transforms it into a mirror for the natural landscape surrounding it. The house was designed for a couple- a dancer and an actor, which “explains” its artistic look. What really strikes about its interior is the lack of structural walls. The building is supported by a few columns especially positioned in order to ensure stability. The interiors are wide and spacious, while the floor to ceiling windows allow natural light to reign all throughout the house.-via Arch Daily |
Beautiful White Beach Home in California Posted: 08 Jun 2010 01:38 PM PDT From Richard Meier & Partners Architects comes this beautiful white beach home located in Southern California and neighbored by a huge courtyard to the west and the Pacific Ocean to the south. Its design combines a modern architecture approach with a white and peaceful beach home feel. The exterior is truly magnificent and the lines create a playful harmony of light and shades. It is almost as someone painted it this beach house on a beautiful blue background. The interiors are airy and spacious, featuring floor to ceiling windows, offering spectacular views. Dramatic indoor walls and contemporary furniture complete the image of today’s dream house.- via Living with White
