Luxury Reinvented : Micheli Residence in Florence Posted: 17 May 2010 04:51 AM PDT Here is a home full of light, color and life. The Micheli Residence comes from Italian architect Simone Micheli and was built for the artist’s family. Located in a beautiful part of Florence, you are looking at a home which does not involve only a fabulous design. The architect meant to transform a regular living space into one that would reflect the creator’s architectural focus: "Ethical Luxury". Here is more information on the concept from Simone Micheli: " …the new luxury does not mean immobility or habit, but rather freedom and movement. It is a light and stirring thought, at any moment we are able to choose where and how to live and to reinvent the environment we live in. As for architecture the new luxury is related to the idea of regaining the beauties and the truth of our daily life together with our inner feelings”.

Magnolia, a Light Bedroom Collection from Smania Posted: 17 May 2010 03:19 AM PDT This beautiful bedroom set inspires so much tranquility that we just had to feature it on Freshome. The color palette, the decorative elements- they make this interior so inviting, that one cannot help but get in the spirit of the room and feel …sleepy when strolling through the pictures.Bamboo and woven leather are just some of the materials used to create these charming furniture elements. We personally liked the sculpted lamp leg in the third photo, the mirror frame and of course, the bed board. The collection is called “Magnolia” and comes from Italian company Smania. We don’t know about you, but we are impressed with their work.
