| 11 Amazing Designer’s Kids Desks Posted: 12 May 2011 02:20 PM PDT Kids of Kathmandu is a non-profit organization started by two Brooklyn artists in 2010 after spending their honeymoon at an orphanage in Nepal. They utilizes photography and the arts to raise awareness about the needs of orphans in Kathmandu. The Desk Project is their first initiative focusing on furniture design. They ask New York artists and woodworkers to design kids desk to be actioned off to raise money for education in Nepal. The result is 11 unique designer’s desks that can become a great addition to any home. Each desk is very inspiring and has some unique features like hidden storage, rustic look, wheels and so on. Which one do you like more than others?

| Collection Of Ephemeral And Airy Lamps For Your Home Posted: 12 May 2011 08:55 AM PDT Brand Luz Difusion presented a collection of chandeliers and lamps called Struk. First it was thought to be just an installation due to its unconventional material (polyethylene mesh), but its use for home has been remarkable for the strength of the material and its attractive light. Each model is made by hand with absolute craftsmanship. Struk is a circular or semicircular structure with a first layer of plastic mesh that diffuses light. A second layer, fixed by flanges, is made of scraps of polyethylene mesh, stiffer and wider, that have been moulded with hot air. Finally, several strips of plastic are threaded at random into the holes of the mesh. The material is fireproof.The lamp looks really ephemeral and unreal. I t resembles me both some flower from the gardens of the elves and a lamp of the spaceships of the future. | Extremely Modern And Cool Apartment Interior Design Posted: 12 May 2011 05:38 AM PDT This apartment is located in Las Vegas on the last floor of a giant skyscraper and the author of the interior is designer Mark Tracy. The owner wanted to see an extravagant, bright and lively interior; for the realization of this task the designer chose glass, stone and mosaic. The interior itself is done in neutral light colors but there are bright special accents: rugs, mosaic walls, chandeliers and curtains. The main colors are light blue, beige and white. This interior really reminds of bright and cheerful nightlife in the casinos of Las Vegas. This apartment reflects the life of the city.
