| Cool Lamps With Personalizable Shades Posted: 17 Jan 2011 12:55 PM PST Jackie is a collection of lamps designed by Josep Novell and Josep Puig for B.Lux. It consists of a table lamp, a floor lamp, and a suspended lamp. The characteristic element of all of them is, the shade, comprising two concentric cylindrical elements made from methacrylate. The interior is opaline and the exterior is transparent. They are both joined by means of a circular base, which allows these fittings to be customised by inserting different types of screen, making them interesting containers. Inside, you can place a whole host of different materials, depending on which Jackie will give out a different kind of light and chromatic effect. Table and floor lamps feature stands in cone shaped steel tubing. Like you can see on pictures, you can personalize each lamp to become a perfect gift on Valentine’s Day.

| Posted: 17 Jan 2011 10:04 AM PST Polish designers from the LA Design Studio has created this amazing custom-built auto furniture collection. It’s designed in retro style and handcrafted of aluminum, leather and original car parts. The collection is called Spirit of 427 and inspired by the classic AC Cobra 427 and the spirit of 60s. Original bumpers, headlights, parts of body and fenders are connected together so precisely that you can even think that they were designed especially for this furniture collection. Of course such furniture would cost a lot because it takes 400-500 hours to create only one furniture object. Although real fans of retro cars wouldn’t impressed by the price because such cars are even more expensive.

He has renovated one in Fall City, Washington and the result is quite impressive. The house is located on a hillside overlooking the Snoqualmie River valley. In order to get amazing views from within the house several continuous glass walls were added. On the main floor, the walls between the kitchen and dining room were removed, and a 25-ft. long addition to the kitchen were added. Thanks to large windows and openness of this area it become very spacious. The bathroom with its glass wall is another noticeable feature of this contemporary farmhouse. The tub there is perched in front of floor-to-ceiling glass, LED lighting is integrated into the steel frames and suitable materials used for counters and floors.
