| Flexible Bookshelf System Of Various Depth and Thickness Posted: 11 Jan 2011 01:31 PM PST Even thought Parametric bookshelves isn’t a new project it’s really worth to be mentioned. The bookshelf is designed by Caterina Tiazzoldi and uses advanced digital techniques, developed with the experience as director of the Advanced Research Lab NSU at the School of Architecture at Columbia University, to achieve a formal exploration of new configurations of the same bookshelf. Each customer introduces data (length, height, preferred colours) and the parametric system responds by automatically changing some of the attributes (depth, thickness, colour saturation). Thanks to that each customer gets an unique bookshelf that not only provide as much storage as he or she needs but also is a quite interesting element of decor.
