Ultra Minimalist Space Saving Shelving Posted: 17 Nov 2010 01:43 PM PST The Piegato is magnetic shelving designed by Matthias Ries a while back. It consists of one laser-cut and powder-coated sheet of steel with perforations to fold shelves depending on your needs. Recently two new versions of the shelving system were presented. The first one features a chalkboard instead of one of the shelves while the other one features a mirror there. All Piegato shelving systems are space saving solutions. When they are closed they don’t occupy more space than a large wall picture. Although when they are open they provide enough space to support books, photos, and other things you want to display. There are black and white versions of all shelving systems available.

The apartment of 160 square meter is located in Barcelona, Spain. The main color theme was chosen white to make the apartment’s interior looks contemporary. Although a little touches of retro were added. Things like the Eames lounge chair and a stainless steel kitchen make an interesting contrast with these touches. Even though contemporary interiors aren’t usually close enough to nature, several home plants could change that like they did at this apartment.
