Here, our four featured home designs employ smooth grey, white and wood decor to create an air of elegance within luxe modern open plan living spaces. The peaceful palette has been combined with stylish furniture, textured finishes and easy flowing layouts to create tasteful layers. The atmosphere of prevailing calm unites pale grey lounge spaces, contemporary oak and walnut kitchen designs and polished modern dining spaces. We'll also look over one inspirational bathroom design, fashionable modern wall panelling, creative room dividers and an interior with en vogue architectural archways.

In this 100 square metre private apartment, located in Dubai, UAE, the open plan living room is an impressive double height space that's filled with natural light. Gentle curves shape a graceful lounge area via a soft grey round rug and an elegant curved sofa design.
Above the sofa, bronze modern wall sconces make deep contrast with crisp white walls. A smaller seating area is arranged by the window, where vertical tiles pattern a statement wall.
The tiled feature wall draws the eye all the way up the towering room height beyond the modern wall sconces and matching bronze ceiling fan.
Indoor plants introduce a refreshing display of greenery through the living space. The plants also serve as a subtle zoning device between the individual seating areas and the dining room.
An oval dining table continues the smooth curvaceous decor aesthetic.
RIbbed table legs complement the linear nature of adjacent wooden window blinds.
A foliage arrangement makes an uplifting green table centrepiece.
An L-shaped kitchen installation wraps wood effect cabinets around the dining area. A pretty patterned backsplash extends all the way up behind open kitchen shelving and a unique screened extractor hood.
The bathroom is a cosy combination of slatted wood fascias and fiery red foliage. A linear modern bathroom vanity is softly lit by an illuminated mirror.
Smooth concrete walls provide subtle pattern, and a shape a tactile curved corner between the vanity area and shower screen.
A brass faucet warmly accessories the white marble bathroom sink.
Textured wall panels and a matt stone grey toilet & bidet set make a mild tonal meld.
Bronze fixtures and black accessories provide dark contrast.
Stone tiles peacefully blend the bathtub with the shower wall.

Inside our second featured home design, a large piece of black and white artwork provides a high contrast focal point behind a pale grey modular sofa. A slender black floor lamp complements a black swing arm ceiling light.

A deeply textured TV wall ripples interest behind a simple oak TV stand.
Black accessories bring out black table legs beneath the round coffee table, and draw a tonal link with the staircase's metal balustrades.
A large rectangle dining table set is laid out by the base of the modern staircase design. Modern dining chairs accommodate a party of eight dinner guests.
Cool white marble meets warm wood in the neighbouring kitchen design, where luxurious marble wraps a centre island with breakfast bar.
A slatted room divider forms a small entry hall. Ribbed gypsum panels texturally define an entryway bench area.
The dining room pendant light hangs a black accent low over the modern table.
A linear suspension light takes the bold black note to the kitchen.

Our next tour takes place in a single floor, 120 square metre private house, located in Toronto, Canada.
A modern wood burning fireplace blazes beneath a stunning metallic chimney breast feature. A cubed wood store adds a decorative element to the modern hearth.
A rectangle coffee table draws parallel height with the linear hearth. Its lighter grey finish reflects natural light from the window.
The partition wall between the sophisticated lounge and formal dining space is cut wide open with graceful archways.
Black glossy reveals strongly define the architectural feature within the clean white walls.
The largest of the two archways perfectly frames a designer dining set.
Looking out from the round pedestal dining table, the archway connects the dining area with the cosy living room fireplace.
