Just over 6,000 square feet, this timber-framed home was designed and built by the artisans at Interior Design Arts, who dedicated their passion for natural aesthetics and fused it with modern amenities to transform this home into a magnificent work of art. A masterpiece in itself, this home possesses immeasurable charm from the hand-crafted woodwork and exposed timber beams to the custom copper accents and exposed brick walls.

Upon entering the home, the rounded entrance foyer seems to embrace guests as the custom concrete and wood floor lead the way to a wide-open living space. Stucco walls and turret ceilings add to this fusion of art, luxury, comfort and function. The richly stained concrete floor is accented by contrasting wood and river rock inlays and oversized, imported privacy windows frame the two acres of forest and greenery that surround the property.

In the center of this great room, a two-sided stone fireplace towers over 20 feet and seems to disappear into the timber posts and beams ceiling. On the opposite side, the gourmet kitchen boasts original, high-end stainless steel appliances, a custom wooden island with rounded drawers and floating cabinets. Elegant Possession Intriguing Sculptural Cabinets: Elegant Possession and The Gatekeeper

Wood artist Ramon Gibbs shared two of his remarkable furniture designs with us. The two projects below rank high in originality, as well as in practicability. Elegant Possession is a delicately sculpted cabinet built of maple and accented with walnut. The design features five normal drawers (plus a secret one) resting on six small but sturdy feet. Its undulating lines make it interesting to observe in detail.

The Gatekeeper is an intricately detailed four drawer show stopper featuring Sycamore accented with Osage orange. The project features a sculpted hutch with suspended shelves and the grace of three pencil point Queen Ann style legs.
