This stylish desk is for those who love retro-chic. Note is a desk of blackened darkness mixed with the brass hardware with a fishbone pattern inside and out. Designer Kristoffer Fagerström created a "black box" that combined the old analogue approach of built-in rulers, hidden magnets and sketchpaper rolls with new functions like USB hubs and power outlets. Gleaming brass fittings referring to the fire used for burning the veneer meet the sooted surface, creating a powerful contrast. The outside is covered with the burned veneer in a fishbone pattern, and when you open the desk, the inside is covered with the finest selection of golden pine in the same pattern. Such a desk is an amazing example of vintage furniture with the most contemporary functions.

Modern Dining Tables Of Natural Logs

Modernism and love for nature make the designers create new, unusual shapes and use new materials. The most unusual things are made of a pair of two materials: organic and synthetic. This table is made of resin and logs, real natural logs. Thanks to that, each table is individual because every tree is unlike the others. Designers from mthwoodworks wanted to explore nature's chaotic moves into contemporary contexts. The sinuous and irregular shapes of the tree base are combined with the inert form and nature of the resin. Each dining table has a piece of wood ranging from 60 to 600 years old. It would be a great piece for any modern and bright dining room or kitchen.

This modern apartment by Thomas Phifer and Partners is an icon of minimalist style. This apartment at first glance seems like a minimalist place with some very nice iconic furniture. But the unique details are what give a personality to this place. The mirrored faceted inset windows are pretty unique because mirrors make the pace look wider and create an unreal effect. A group of framed texts makes a statement. There are no unnecessary details, textures or colors, everything is simple. This place leaves a lasting impression of an art object of post-postmodernism and just a house.
