Minimalist Concrete Modular Vases

Posted: 19 Sep 2011 02:33 PM PDT

Concrete is the most minimalist material. Japanese Bento boxes are very functional boxes for food. How are they connected? Designer Xiral Segard was inspired by them and created these concrete Konkurïto vases, items with modular design and clearness. These vases are made of four modular stackable elements so depending on the size of the bouquet the water reservoir can be located at the top or bottom. Who could imagine a concrete vase? But anyway natural concrete colors make the vase very minimalist. Such a vase would look great in any minimalist interior and would highlight colorful flowers by the calm grey parts or you can even plant something there.

Kitchen With Folding Panels To Transform The Space

If you don't have enough space you need space-saving functional solutions. This one is for your kitchen by dmvA Architecten. They suggest to hide the kitchen behind the panels. If you need some space and want to hide something – this thing is for you. With this solution you can transform and change any space. You can use the rest of the kitchen as a meeting space for your business partners or even use the folding façade as a movie screen. The worktop cantilevers out from the rear wall and hovers like a magic tick ready to be used as a work surface, dining table or desk. Transformable areas are very popular and it's a very smart functional solution.

Minimalist Black-And-White House On The Hollywood Hills

Posted: 19 Sep 2011 07:33 AM PDT

Black and white has always been one of the most stylish combinations ever. Nakahouse redesigned by XTEN Architecture in California has dark exterior and white interior. Originally it was built in 1960s and it was completely changed to become stylish. The house is surrounded by nature from all its sides; it consists of a series of interconnected terraces that open the indoors to the views through floor-to-ceiling sliding-glass walls. The style is minimalist and I love crimson furniture in absolutely black-and-white interiors. The rooftop deck is the perfect place to enjoy sun in perfect privacy. I think the only thing that this perfect black-and-white symphony lacks is a swimming pool but anyway the house is amazingly stylish.
