Unusual 70s Style Living Room Furniture Posted: 20 Apr 2011 12:40 PM PDT German designer Hannes Grebin created this furniture taking the samples of traditional furniture for a living room in Germany in the 70s. He took 6 things: a couch, an armchair, a carpet, a wall unit, a ceiling lamp and a tile table. He decided to take the comfort and tradition of the furniture and reflect it in his own way. Despite its fractal and asymmetric geometry the furniture perfectly meets the demands of ergonomics. It's not so soft and cozy as before but a human being can get used to everything, as the designer says. The unusual sculptural forms are complemented by traditional fabric and other details like laces or fringes. All together these pieces show us a neomodern living room with a slight hint on the traditional furniture of the 70s. ![]() ![]() Similar Posts: Continue reading about Unusual 70s Style Living Room Furniture...
An Outdoor Lamp Connecting Interior And Exterior Posted: 20 Apr 2011 09:20 AM PDT Dutch designer Geert Koster has created this outdoor lamp MATE for the editor of Italian magazine Metalarte. It's a very stylish and modern solution made of white steel and a usual bulb. It washes away the boundaries between the interior and exterior because the lamp looks like a usual bedside lamp but a long leg makes it look like a street lamp. Its form reminds of a fly that flits in the dark sky. I think it's one of the best solutions for a modern garden and its color – white – will easily match almost any place. Light up your garden with this simple and stylish lamp! ![]() ![]() Similar Posts: Continue reading about An Outdoor Lamp Connecting Interior And Exterior...
Antique House With Ghosts In Poland Posted: 20 Apr 2011 05:19 AM PDT This miracle of the architecture is called Salvinia Lodge and it is located on the Baltic seaside in Poland. The house was built in the 18th century that can be seen in the interior and exterior of the house. The designers help the new owner to change the house so it could stand for more centuries. They tried to save some details inside the house or to renovate them to preserve the unique spirit of the time. The interior is a fusion of styles: designers took the style of the 18th century and mixed it with absolutely modern furniture and details. The wood everywhere was mostly renovated. In order to support the spirit of time the used colors are neutral and calm. They say that there are ghosts in the house that live here for centuries. It adds some mistic and charm to the house. I hope the ghosts like the changes. ![]() ![]() Similar Posts: Continue reading about Antique House With Ghosts In Poland...
