Simple Coffee Table With Two Separated Tops

Posted: 20 Jan 2011 01:09 PM PST

Ant table designed by Oliver Nikolic is a one more modern take on the coffee table design. It looks quite simple yet is really functional. The coffee table is made of simple materials, wood and glass, and have two separated tops. Thanks to that it’s quite long and even two people seating on opposite sides of a sofa can use it comfortable. If you like the idea you probably can try to make something like it by yourself or to buy one and paint it to match your interior.

Surrealistic Octopus-Inspired Chandeliers

Posted: 20 Jan 2011 10:09 AM PST

An octopus has become an inspiration for some furniture designers lately. First that was the Octopus chair and now we want to show you Octopus chandeliers. These dramatic chandeliers are designed by Adam Wallacavage. To make them the artist uses traditional ornamental plaster techniques and hand paints each of them. Among these surrealistic chandeliers are octopuses with sinuous arms swept by the movements of the sea, octopuses at rest, and still octopuses showing off their prey. Imagine how cool such chandeliers would look like along with some sea-themed wallpapers and decorations.

Posted: 20 Jan 2011 05:37 AM PST

This modest house extension is a part of the one-storey private house designed in 1998 and built in 1999. Firstly the terrace was added as an extension of the living room. After that an storage room had to be built because the family living there got a lot of new things during the years. Later the outside pool was added. Besides that another floor with sauna and relaxing room also become part of the extension. After that the box was covered with crisscrossed sticks which resembles an angular bird's nest, a tangle of boards, all of which glows in the dark.
