In an interview for "Dwell" Magazine the architect Will Alsop said something that resonated with me: "the last thing we want is to create an air of indifference, because then you've succeeded in making just another gray building, which the world doesn't need". He goes on to say that buildings should express a sense of wonder and joy. Whatever else you can say about this building, it always grabs my attention.
This building is hard to photograph. I like that you get such extreme views of it from the street.
